Recently I have seen a lot of people (Not going to name any people) post farming. Now if not known it's stated CLEARLY on the Helper Rules not to post farm. Now, some people may wonder what post farming is, and I'll state exactly what it is and what to do when people do it.
What is post farming?
Post Farming is where any player begins to post multiple times with useless posts. Not everyone is a post farmer, but some people may post multiple times on different threads with words such as "Hi" or "Great idea".
How can I be sure that person is post farming?
If someone has lower than 20 posts, that does not necessarily mean they are a post farmer. The best way to find out is to check their "Posts" on their profile. If you find that most of the posts have less than 5 words, they are most likely a post farmer.
What do I do when I find one?
Your best chance is to post on their wall to delete their posts and tell them about the consequences of post farming. Most Post Farmer's will ignore your message, but if a lot of people post on their wall (especially Mod+!) they might understand how bad it is to post farm.
Why do people post farm?
The most obvious reason is to get Helper. If you do not know, Helper is a rank that helps people in-order to get higher ranks with better privileges such as banning. But, a lot of people lie in their application. Someone is posting seemingly useless posts but are Helper/Have more than 20 posts?
If someone has 20+ posts, they may be post farmers (Posts don't really matter unless there's no point in them) does not necessarily mean they are post farmers. Some perople may just post a lot, but even so it does not mean you can still post farm. With truth below from jmclone's comment he post farmed once and got a 3 day mute in-game and almost even a forum ban.
Anyway, my point is to NOT post farm and just play around on the forums.
And I'll be COMPLETELY honest here, that on the forums my first goal was to get Helper. But when I started, I got too addicted to the forums and just kept posting and talking with people! Remember, something a lot of people don't do? Read the Helper Rules before you post anything, before you post your application, and after you post your application.
